In general, my relationship with protein shakes is one of necessity.
I’m like… a fuck boy. I use them. I use them solely for the benefit of my body. I do not respect their flavor, and I enjoy the experience only because I benefits me in the end.
BUT– I’ve changed my ways. I’ve seen the light. I’ve fallen in love.
The below chocolate protein shake has truly improved my daily quality of life, and I’ve grown to appreciate the relationship we’ve built. I’ll never take it for granted again.
2 scoops KOS Chocolate Protein
2 bananas, frozen
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 Tsp Cacao Nibs
Water ( or almond milk, if you prefer )
add all ingredients to a blender, duh.
some notes: I usually match the amount of ice to the amount of banana that I add into the smoothie. I add enough water to cover the banana and ice, less if I want the shake to be thicker, and more for thinner ( duh ). The more water you add, the more the chocolate flavor will be diluted, so keep that in mind!
& that’s the tea.
To reiterate: the chocolate flavor will get watered down with too much liquid. If you need more shake, add more frozen banana and equal parts ice!
I truly look forward to drinking this. It tastes like dessert. The cacao nibs are my favorite part.
