Finally talking essential oils with y’all today!
Diffusing my essential oil combos has become a major part of my morning/nighttime routines.
Every morning, I honestly cannot function until, 1) my bed is made flawlessly, 2) my morning music playlist is on, & 3) I’ve added my orange/lemon/grapefruit & peppermint oils to my diffuser.
This has been my morning routine since college, & it’s a huge part of my life at this point. The whole scenario just really gets me in the mood to take on the day.
At night, I like to turn on a more calming playlist, clean up the house, burn my candles, & diffuse my calming lavender & eucalyptus. LOL– can you tell how single I am?
Maybe I’ll get a boyfriend when talking to, texting, or thinking about an actual human man sounds more enticing than going through my morning & nighttime rituals. It’s just my favorite thing ever.
Occasionally, in the mornings, for a lil extra kick in the ass, I’ll add a few drops of peppermint oil to a few drops of water ( or a carrier oil like almond or jojoba ) & dab the solution on the back of my neck, under my nose, and on my wrists.
I went to a “hangover/oxygen clinic” in Vegas a couple years ago, & they did this trick to make us feel more alive after a New Year’s Eve situation at the Marquee nightclub ( <<< never again ).
So, let’s talk a few of my favorite oils & their uses:
Peppermint– stress & anxiety relief, improves energy/alertness/& concentration
Eucalyptus– cleanses toxins, freshens air, & helps the immune system
Citrus Oils ( Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange )– improves energy & alertness
Lavender– reduces stress & anxiety, improves sleep, & alleviates headaches
Frankincense– relieves chronic stress/anxiety & boosts immunity
Cinnamon Leaf– deodorizes air & stimulates libido
Rosemary– improves memory & lowers cortisol
Clove Leaf– boosts immune system & relieves stress
Tea Tree– cleans the air, & SMELLS SO GOOD ( favorite for sure )
Most of the time, I have a mixture of a few oils in my diffuser.
BTW– if any of y’all are masters at other uses for essential oils, like applying them to skin & such, give me some info! I’m into diffusing them at the moment, but need to know more uses.
Some essential oil mixtures I use on the reg:
Peppermint, Eucalyptus, & Lavender
Lemon, Grapefruit, & Peppermint ( great for the morning! )
Orange, Rosemary, & Clove
Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, & Peppermint
Rosemary, Lemon, & Peppermint ( concentration! )
Orange, Cinnamon, & Clove ( smells like fall! )
Occasionally, I’ll just add whatever random oils I grab to my diffuser like a total psycho. Sometimes you gotta let yourself live a little. Try new things. Get a little wild, ya know?
