I had a minor eye surgery yesterday, so I’m going through a little ‘recovery’ stage (AKA: laying in bed, sleeping for hours). I was FINALLY able to comfortably open my eyes this morning, so you know the first thing I did was check my e-mails and start writing this very blog post! I’m addicted, I’m sorry.
Today, I thought I’d do a little round-up of some of my ‘Favorite Things,’ like I used to do on the old blog. Those are always pretty fun. I have pictures from awhile ago that I never got to share, so theres no better time than now (unless y’all just want some pictures of all the delivery food I’m ordering/ my huge, puffy eyes/ me, binge-watching Netflix. Yeah, not glamourous.)
Remember my favorite Eyebrow Filler by Paula Dorf Cosmetics? Welp, they’e done it again!
Right now, I’m really digging this Aztec City Eye Shadow Palette. The colors are the BOMB-diggity, and I really like how I can mix it up so much using a SINGLE palette. This one is perfect for all eye colors, because it gives you so many options as far as shadow shades.
I got their teal mascara as well, because it really brings out the greenish-blue colors in my eyes. A little tip? Instead of using the teal color all over my lashes, I concentrate the colored mascara at the tips of my lashes and use my regular black/brown all over the lash. My exact routine: Lash primer (or clear mascara), PD Teal mascara at the ends, 2 coats of regularly colored mascara (I use this kind), and finish up with a little more PD Teal mascara at the ends.
I know it seems like a LOT, but I only do this little routine when I’m going out or going to some special event. On a daily basis, I either forgo mascara (to give my lashes a little break), or I use a little clear/ light brown.
ALSO, when you buy this Aztec City palette, you will get a FREE teal mascara using the promo code:
You’re SO welcome, my loves.
We got to see the (wo)man, the myth, the legend, B. SPEARS, on my actual birthday. Then, the next night (New Year’s Eve) was spent at the Marquee Nightclub (one of my favorites), ringing in the New Year with Drake.
Who could ask for a more fabulous Birthday experience? I 100% recommend it.
Any suggestions for some at-home spa recipes or calming experiences? I’ll be laying in bed for QUITE awhile. Okay, only a few days, but I’m already getting restless. As per usual.
BUT, I have some GREAT things to-come-soon to H+H, so stay tuned for some much more exciting post-age.
