I thought I’d start my fitness post series with some fashion-forward fitness inspo.
Pretty activewear makes working out a totally different ( aka: BETTER ) experience.
An important result of working my literal ass off is the confidence boost that follows, & my workout threads only enhance that confidence.
Cute activewear makes me excited to go to the gym, so buying trendy workout outfits is a tactic I use to make myself get to the gym more often. Mwuahahah, I know myself too well.
Also, I find myself reaching for my activewear when I’m not planning on working out, because it’s ultra comfy & easy to throw on.
My top activewear picks are an all-around win.
FITNESS FINDS FOR THE FASHION FORWARD
My roommate, Molly, got this hoodie in white, & it took me all of .5 seconds to know I HAD TO GET IT TOO. I’m all for a trendy hoodie situation, because it’s an easy way to make it look like you put in effort when you’re really just cozied up in your sweatshirt.
Basic Workout Tee/Tank
Usually, I wear a simple, cropped white or black tank while working out. I’m starting to collect more good quality activewear tanks, because they tend to be breathable ( good for a sweaty situation! ). I like this one for cardio, specifically, because it keeps the boobs hidden, instead of letting them bounce around like lil maniacs.
The perfect legging is about sports-minded fabric & the least amount of camel toe possible. My favorite brand for avoiding the camel toe issue is Beyond Yoga. Their leggings always fit perfectly. As far as fabric, I like a true spandex, as opposed to something with cotton in it, because cotton leggings tend to collect lint.
When I actually GO to the gym, I’m usually headed to a class like pilates or yoga, where I take my shoes off, so my sneakers are less function than they are form ( I have a more supportive, less stylish shoe for running ). I got my nude nike sneakers for everyday use, & I couldn’t be any more in love with these babies. Necessity.
Hershel Supply really just gets it when it comes to bags/luggage. I’m digging this Hershel gym duffel because its ON SALE for $35 ( just bought it for myself yesterday! ), & this neutral/pastel color palette is always a favorite. After I work out, I like to steam &/or shower at the gym ( because my gym has a EUCALYPTUS STEAM ROOM & EUCALYPTUS-INFUSED TOWELS… & I’m an essential oil addict ), so I bring a change of clothes, toiletries, & my water bottle in my gym bag.
I’m all about a cute gym outfit. Activewear is DEFINITELY something to invest in. It’s investing in yourself.
What are some of y’alls’ go-to activewear brands or places to buy workout clothes online?
Anywho, that’s it for today, beebus girls.
I just got home from spending the day shooting something fun with Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Ginger team ( it’s my FAVORITE shampoo/conditioner right now ), & I am EXHAUSTED.
Now: on to Wednesday wine & chocolate ( ya know, since we are on the topic of working out & all… LOL ).
Happy halfway-to-the-weekend, beebuses! xx
