Going-Out Clothes Made Easy: Black Mesh

ASOS Festival on Blogger Payton Sartain

Let’s be real, us girls have ENOUGH shit to deal with when we decide to take on the night with our friends ( ESPECIALLY if you live in a city like LA ). We don’t need to be thinking twice about our outfit choice.

From the expensive-ass uber bill, to the $15 cocktails, to that aggressive middle-aged man who approaches you with an alarmingly high level of confidence, we put up with ALOT in the name of getting a little shwastey with our girlfriends.

It’s a give-and-take scenario. Sometimes it’s worth it, sometimes it’s not, but we’re young, so let us attempt to make our friday night a little wild. Why not?

One thing I’m here to ensure: your choice of outfit is BOMB & simple to put together. It’s one less thing to stress about ( bc, sorry, I have yet to find the secret for avoiding men my father’s age hitting on 20-somethings *working on it* ).

My go-to look for a night of questionable decision-making? Black mesh.

I’ve stocked up on a few black mesh tops & dresses, and I play around with the types of bralettes & bodysuits I layer under my mesh pieces, as well as the types of accessories I pair with each look.

PSA: I linked SO many products from NastyGal ( because everything on their site is 50% off right now using code GET50 ) & from the Nordstrom anniversary sale in the sliders above!

Just trying to help y’all live your best lives on a budget, ya know?

Today, I’m off the the gym & then going to shoot some fun things with Claire in Malibu this evening.

I’ve been a little off since returning from last weekend’s Houston adventures ( let’s just call them “adventures,” shall we? ), and getting back on track this week is key. Let’s just say my upcoming weekends nights will include sweatpants & hoodies instead of black mesh & bodysuits.

I always feel better when my eyes are on the prize. Anyone else feel this?

Hope y’all are into this black mesh trend as much as I am. Happy shopping! xx
